Frequently Asked Questions

I offer psychotherapy to individuals and couples. I’m also offering a new process group starting this fall.
Currently, all services are provided via a secure telehealth platform.

I work with adults with a variety of concerns and diagnoses who are curious about their inner world and are interested in investing time and energy long term in a process that can reduce their symptoms and increase their sense of well being, adaptability, and aliveness.
I tend to work with a wide range of people, including college students, recent grads, academics, artists, people in helping professions, and people experiencing or considering significant transitions.

Yes! I practice relational psychoanalytic therapy, a contemporary depth psychotherapy where your authenticity and the therapeutic relationship are central to the work.
I encourage you to share whatever is on your mind, and to bring in dreams if you’d like. Over time, we get curious together about what does and doesn’t come up in session, and about the patterns that might be playing out between us. Working this way, taking risks with a trusted therapist, can lead to lasting change.
I also facilitate Modern analytic process groups, which use experiences with group members and the process of putting your thoughts and feelings into words to support profound shifts in your relating and sense of self. See the Group Therapy page for more.

I have a background as a somatic bodyworker. I’m informed by my training and practice and know your felt experience in your body is impacted by your past, and can continue to impact you on a daily basis. While I don’t typically lead guided somatic exercises in my work, in my psychoanalytic listening, I am attentive to your felt sense and what it may be telling us about your experience.

I meet with people at least once a week. I find that consistency and momentum are important for the work. Sometimes, working more intensively is desired, and when that makes sense clinically and logistically, I see people 2-3 times per week. We can discuss frequency when we meet, and we can return to the conversation as our work progresses.
